First, the gap between the impellers is too large.
There is a certain gap between the impellers of the Roots blower. During use, if the gap between the impellers increases, it will affect the normal operation of the Roots blower. Some small fans, such as three-lobe Roots fans, can be adjusted and repaired by professionals. However, some large Roots blowers require repairs due to the impeller gap, and these large impellers require special machinery to handle.
Second, motor issues.
If there is a problem with this machine, it needs to be disassembled and returned to the manufacturer for repair. Motors are prone to damage in unreasonable working environments. Moreover, once a motor is damaged, it is generally difficult to recover, and without returning to the manufacturer for repair, it is hard to guarantee the motor's lifespan.
Third, bearing bending and cracking.
Bearings are important components that connect the impellers and the motor. Some manufacturers produce impellers of substandard quality, or they do not undergo testing during the manufacturing process, resulting in serious balance errors. Therefore, if the Roots blower operates for a long time, the bearings are prone to deformation. In severe cases, the fan bearings may break, and the motor may burn out.
Although these three issues are serious, they are not unavoidable. Regular inspections and maintenance during daily use can prevent major problems.
