After the Roots blower is installed, when connecting the front pipeline, additional components are required, namely the check valve, also known as the one-way valve. The check valve is a very simple component, but it is a crucial part. If the Roots blower does not have a check valve, there will be a significant risk of damage in future use.
The Roots blower generally uses a disc check valve. The function of the disc check valve: The disc check valve mainly consists of the valve body, valve plate, spring, sealing ring, etc. It is mainly used to prevent the backflow of fluid media in the pipeline, hence it is called a one-way valve and a check valve, with a flange connection.
The working principle of the disc check valve: When the fluid flows in the direction indicated by the arrow on the valve, the valve plate compresses the spring to open, and the fluid flows through the gap of the valve plate. When the pressure at the inlet side of the fluid is less than the pressure at the outlet side, the spring compresses and the valve plate closes, preventing the fluid from backflow, thus achieving the check function.
In the process of using the Roots blower, we cannot guarantee that the pipeline is always unobstructed. If the pipeline is blocked for some reason, the resistance increases, which may cause the Roots blower to be over-pressurized. If the overpressure is too high, the gas will backflow. At this time, the check valve can ensure the safety of the Roots blower. When the gas backflows, the check valve closes to prevent the gas from flowing back. At this time, the voltage and current of the Roots blower will rise due to overpressure overload. The pressure relief valve will then start to vent, keeping the pressure at a relatively balanced boundary point.
