The required motor power for a Roots blower refers to the relatively large power needed under working conditions when the centrifugal blower and the fan casing have the intake fully opened. If the intake is fully opened, the motor may be damaged. During the fan's trial operation, the valve on the outlet pipe should be gradually opened after operation until the required working conditions are reached, and attention should be paid to whether the fan's operating current exceeds the rated current.
How should the Roots blower be properly debugged?
1. The Roots blower can be started with full pressure or reduced pressure, but it should be noted that the rated current during full pressure start is about 5 to 7 times, and the reduced pressure starting torque is proportional to the square of the current. When the grid capacity is insufficient, reduced pressure starting should be used.
2. During the trial operation of the fan, the product Description should be read carefully, and the wiring method should be checked to ensure it is consistent with the wiring diagram; the working voltage supplied to the fan should be checked to meet the requirements, and whether the power supply is missing a phase or the same, and whether the capacity of the distribution components meets the requirements.
3. During the trial operation of the Roots blower, there should be no less than two people, one controlling the power supply and one observing the fan's operating condition. If any abnormal phenomena are found, stop the machine immediately for inspection; first check whether the rotation direction is correct; after the fan is running, check immediately whether the operating current is balanced and whether the current exceeds the rated current; if there are no abnormal phenomena, stop the machine for inspection. After running for 5 minutes, stop and check whether there are any abnormal phenomena with the fan, and confirm that there are no abnormal phenomena before restarting.

4. During the trial operation of the dual-speed fan, it should first start at low speed and check whether the rotation direction is correct; when starting at high speed, wait until the fan is stationary before starting to avoid high-speed reverse rotation, which can cause the switch to trip and damage the motor.
5. When the fan reaches the normal speed, check whether the input current of the fan is normal; the operating current of the fan must not exceed its rated current. If the operating current exceeds its rated current, check whether the voltage of the fan is normal.
6. The required motor power for the Roots blower refers to the power required under working conditions when the centrifugal blower and the fan casing have fully opened air inlets, which is relatively large. If the air inlet is fully opened, the motor may be damaged. During the trial operation of the fan, the valve on the inlet pipeline should be gradually opened after the operation until the required working conditions are reached, and pay attention to whether the operating current of the fan exceeds the rated current.
7. During the trial operation of the Roots blower, the exhaust valve should be opened to ensure no-load starting. After stable starting, slowly close the exhaust valve; when shutting down, gradually unload the load and stop after no load.
8. Ensure that the indoor environment of the fan is clean to avoid dust. The fan should be wiped regularly, especially the air inlet, to prevent dust from being inhaled and causing blockage. The windows of the fan room should be equipped with screens to prevent insects, mosquitoes, and flies from entering.
