If you understand the desulfurization oxidation fan, you will know that due to the large air volume and high pressure, the design and manufacturing level requirements are quite high. The oxidation fan is crucial for the long-term safe and stable operation of the desulfurization system, as it not only affects the complete oxidation of calcium sulfite but may also lead to scaling and blockage of the demister and GGH. The failure rate of oxidation fans in desulfurization systems is high. From the perspective of debugging, operation, and maintenance, Mingfeng Machinery recently had detailed discussions with technical professionals and summarized: 1. The installation position of the local pressure gauge of the oxidation fan should be between the oxidation fan outlet and the safety door, that is, inside the safety door, to truly reflect the pressure of the oxidation fan. It is unscientific if it is between the exhaust door and the safety door or between the safety door and the outlet door. 2. During operation, do not overly rely on the safety door. When the outlet pressure of the oxidation fan exceeds the allowable value of the equipment, due to the limited pipe diameter and exhaust capacity of the safety door, only part of the air pressure can be released. This can largely be understood as an alarm, and other measures should be taken, such as opening the exhaust door to relieve pressure. 3. Each oxidation fan is equipped with an outlet door, most of which are manual valves. Unless in maintenance mode, it is recommended that the outlet door should be in a normally open state, as the manual door switch status does not enter the DCS. If the oxidation fan starts with the outlet door closed, when the exhaust door is closed, the equipment will quickly be damaged due to fan overpressure. 4. The oxidation fan is a Roots blower (recently, some power plants use centrifugal fans, which are not included here). The outlet pressure of the oxidation fan depends on the back pressure (resistance) of the pipeline and system, and it has the characteristic of forced gas delivery. Therefore, it must be fully open, and it is strictly prohibited to adjust the outlet door to adjust the pressure. It is also necessary to ensure that the pipeline is unobstructed and not blocked. 5. The exhaust door should close slowly and steadily, so the valve is not suitable for quick-acting valves like pneumatic valves. An electric valve can be used to ensure a certain stroke time. 6. Startup process: First, confirm that the exhaust door is in the open position, start the oxidation fan, and delay closing the exhaust door. The delay time mainly considers the stable operation after the oxidation fan starts. Since the startup operation steps are simple, manual startup is commendable, and sequential control startup can also be done with a delay. Regardless of how to start, on-site checks of cooling water, oil level, and the outlet door in the fully open position should be made to form a good operating habit. Since most oxidation fans use closed cooling water from power plants, if the cooling water is opened, the cooling water flow of the stopped fan will be affected. Most power plants will turn off the cooling water for unused equipment and open it again during startup. 7. The automatic switching function of the backup oxidation fan should not be activated. One oxidation fan is used while the other is on standby. When one fails and stops, the other automatically engages, which is unnecessary and poses significant risks, as high-pressure equipment itself requires manual inspection of many links before it can start. After the equipment stops, it is feasible for the operating personnel to check and confirm before manually starting the backup equipment. To avoid backflow of oxidation air, each fan outlet is equipped with a check valve. Its direction cannot be reversed; if reversed, it not only fails to function but more importantly, it causes pressure buildup, damaging the fan. 8. The check valve is even more important for dual-use backup fans. If the check valve is poor or leaks air, it will lead to difficulties in starting the other one. The above 8 points are hoped to be of some help to everyone. If you have any questions, please contact Shandong Mingfeng Machinery Manufacture Co., Ltd.

If you understand the desulfurization oxidation fan, you will know that due to the large air volume and high pressure, the design and manufacturing level requirements are quite high. The oxidation fan is crucial for the long-term safe and stable operation of the desulfurization system, not only affecting the complete oxidation of calcium sulfite but also potentially leading to scaling and clogging of the demister and GGH. The oxidation fan has a high failure rate in desulfurization fans. From the perspective of debugging, operation, and maintenance, Mingfeng Machinery recently had detailed discussions with technical professionals and summarized:

1: The installation position of the local pressure gauge of the oxidation fan should be locatedOxidation fanbetween the outlet and the safety door, that is, on the inner side of the safety door, to truly reflect the pressure of the oxidation fan. It is unscientific to place it between the discharge door and the safety door or between the safety door and the outlet door.

2: During operation, do not overly rely on the safety door. When the outlet pressure of the oxidation fan exceeds the allowable value of the equipment, due to the limited diameter and exhaust capacity of the safety door, it can only discharge part of the air pressure. This can largely be understood as an alarm, and other measures should be taken, such as opening the discharge door to relieve pressure.

3: Each oxidation fan is equipped with an outlet door, most of which are manual valves. Unless in maintenance mode, it is recommended that the outlet door should be in a normally open state, as the manual door switch status does not enter the DCS. 7: The automatic self-start function of the backup oxidation fan should not be activated. One oxidation fan is used as a backup; when one fails and stops, the other automatically starts, which is unnecessary and poses a great risk, as high-pressure equipment itself requires manual inspection of many links before it can start. After the equipment stops, the operating personnel should check and confirm before manually starting the backup equipment, which is feasible.
