1. Ensure the smooth operation of the Roots blower and pipelines. During maintenance of the Roots blower, a dust removal inspection must be conducted on the components of the intake pipeline; the dust and oil sludge inside the casing must be cleaned out; check whether the outlet components and pipelines are unobstructed. 2. Ensure the safety valve is flexible. Since the Roots blower is a positive displacement blower, if ventilation is poor, the pressure will continue to rise until the motor stalls or the casing is damaged. If the safety valve opens naturally at the rated pressure or at the allowable set pressure, the above failures can be avoided; thus, both equipment and personal safety can be ensured. 3. Ensure the three clearances of the Roots blower. The three clearances of the Roots blower refer to the radial clearance between the rotor and the casing, the clearance between the rotors, and the clearance between the rotor side and the casing wall. 4. Accurate pin positioning. There are three locations in the Roots blower that must be accurately positioned; otherwise, it will affect the operation of the blower. The pins of the upper and lower casings and the pins of the gearbox are generally not replaced during maintenance, so they only need to be installed correctly during repairs.
