The function of the exhaust valve is to discharge pressurized gas or liquid when the equipment is not in operation to prevent accidents. It is also called a venting valve. After the Roots blower starts without load, the exhaust valve closes slowly, and the blower reaches the working standard state. When the blower stops, the venting valve is first opened slowly to put the blower in a no-load state, then the power is cut off to stop. During this process, the exhaust valve mainly plays a protective role.
Adjustment method for the blower exhaust valve:
(1) First, start the Roots blower, observe the pressure gauge while tightening the gate valve, making the pressure exceed about 10% of the set pressure.
(2) Then loosen the locking nut and turn the adjustment rod counterclockwise until air is discharged from the safety valve.
(3) During the tightening of the gate valve, if the set pressure of the blower is not reached and the safety valve has already vented, turn the adjustment rod clockwise again until air stops discharging, then turn the adjustment rod counterclockwise until air just starts to discharge.
(4) Tighten the locking nut and the adjustment nut.
(5) Loosen the gate valve.
