(1) The intake pipe of the Roots blower safety valve uses a long radius elbow.
(2) The design of the outlet pipeline of the blower safety valve should consider that the back pressure does not exceed a certain value of the safety valve's constant pressure. For ordinary spring safety valves, the back pressure should not exceed 10% of the safety valve's constant pressure value.
(3) When the medium discharged into the venting main pipe or flare main pipe contains condensate oil or condensable gas, the outlet of the safety valve should be higher than the main pipe; otherwise, drainage measures should be taken.
(4) The outlet pipe of the safety valve discharging into a closed system should be inclined at 45° along the direction of the medium flow at the top of the discharge main pipe to avoid the flow of condensate into the branch pipe, reducing the back pressure of the safety valve.
(5) When there is a shut-off valve on the inlet and outlet pipes of the Roots blower safety valve, a single gate valve should be selected and sealed with lead. The valve rod should be installed horizontally to avoid the sliding of the valve plate when the pin connecting the valve rod and the valve plate corrodes or loosens. When the safety valve is equipped with a bypass valve, the valve should be sealed with lead.
