Roots blower manufacturerShare: The summer solstice is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.

Although the summer solstice has the longest daylight and the highest angle of the sun, it is not the hottest time of the year. This is because the heat near the surface is still accumulating and has not yet reached its peak.

As the saying goes, "The heat is in the dog days," the real hot weather is calculated based on the summer solstice and the beginning of autumn. From mid-July to mid-August, temperatures across the country are at their highest, with some regions reaching around 40°C.

The summer solstice is the earliest of the twenty-four solar terms to be established. In the 7th century BC, our ancestors used a gnomon to measure the shadow of the sun to determine the summer solstice.
